We fight on together

Join the Candlelight Vigil

Now a second murder by federal agents (probably CBP) in Minneapolis on Saturday, January 24th, less than 2 weeks after the murder of Renee Good. Alex Pretti was an ICU nurse, a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry, who was peacefully filming the agents with his phone, then intervened to help when they shoved a bystander. The videos available so far show that he struggled to get away when pepper sprayed and tackled, but do not show that he ever pulled or “brandished” his weapon. An agent saw the gun and removed it, and then Pretti was shot.

The violence from ICE also includes kidnapping children, tackling and detaining citizens and non-citizens alike without cause, invading homes and schools without a judicial warrant, using tear gas and flash bangs on nonviolent protesters, and more.  We demand an end to it all.

Please join us for a candlelight vigil at 6:30 pm this Sunday, January 25, in front of the Forest Grove Library, as we express our grief and outrage.  Bring a candle, perhaps in a jar, or find another way to shield the flame and protect yourself from wax drippings.  Dress warmly!

You can sign up on the mobilize site.

Meeting Time to Change in Future

Thank you to everyone who answered our one-question poll on our best meeting time.  Based on those votes, starting on February 27, our meetings will start at 5:30, instead of 4:30.

Our Vision

A real democracy of, by, and for the people.

About Indivisible Forest Grove

Action by action, day by day, group by group, Indivisibles are remaking our democracy.

We are a chapter comprising one of thousands of local grassroots Indivisible groups with a mission to elect progressive leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda. Visit the parent Indivisible site.

Brought together by a practical guide to resist the Trump agenda, Indivisible is a movement of thousands of group leaders and more than a million members taking regular, iterative, and increasingly complex actions to resist the GOPs agenda, elect local champions, and fight for progressive policies.

They make calls. They show up. They speak with their neighbors. They organize. And through that work, they’ve built hundreds of mini-movements in support of their local values. And now, after practice, training, and repetition, they’ve built lasting power on their home turf and a massive, collective political muscle ready to be exercised each and every day in every corner of the country.
